He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriet Claflin and Albert Claflin; his siblings, Betsy and Bob; his wife Eunice Couch Claflin; and his son Frederick Lyman Claflin.
He is survived by: his brother George. He is also survived by two nephews and a niece, and a number of grand nephews and nieces.
