With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Derrick K. Watson (Riverside, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Derrick shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Derrick farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander Watson and Mary Watson (Gethers); and his sibling Gail Watson. He is survived by: his children, Jelani Watson of New York, NY, Dalila Watson of Poughkeepsie, NY, Justin Braggs of Charleston, SC, Amanda Watson of Carrollton, VA, Kwasi Watson of New York, NY and Melissa Watson of Norfolk, VA.. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren.
