She was predeceased by: her husband Edward A. Costa; and her parents, Manuel Couto and Marie E. Couto (Souza). She is survived by: her children, Edward A. Costa Jr. of Riverside and Darlene M. Costa of Cranston; her granddaughters, Alexandra (Patrick Beneviades) and Arielle Costa; and her great grandchild Natalie Beneviades.
