He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Wood and Alta Lucille Wood (Kelly); and his siblings, John C. Wood and Constance L. Austin (Wood). He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ogden Wood; his children, Peter R. Wood of Texas and Kathryn A. Newman of Florida; and his siblings, David A. Wood of Florida and Mary Blanchard of Pennsylvania. He is also survived by five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
