He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Murphy Cahill; his parents, Rita Costello Cahill Adams and Howard E. Cahill; his grandparents, William E. and Medora Costello; his brother Edward Cahill; his son-in-law Peter Cummings; his sister Rita Roland (Tracy); and his nephew Shawn Roland.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret R. Cummings of Barrington, Robert W. Cahill, Jr. (Lori) of Cumberland and Ann E. Cedergren (Paul) of Warren; his grandchildren, Robert Cahill, III, Richard Kohler, Jr., Caitlin, Peter Cummings, Ethan and Timothy Cedergren; his niece Charleen Astle (Thomas); and his nephew Kirk Roland.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the W. Raymond Watson Funeral Home (350 Willett Ave, Riverside, RI 02915). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Angels Church (341 Maple Ave, Barrington, RI 02806).
