It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce E. Drake of Rumford, Rhode Island, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on February 17, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Benjamin F. "Frank" Drake; her daughter Donna Cowett; her siblings, Robert Caldwell, Mary Fallon and Elmer Caldwell; and her parents, Scottish and Charlotte Caldwell (Elliott).

She is survived by : her children, David Drake, Anna Drake and Diane Matson; her son-in-law David Matson; her grandchildren, Michael Cowett, Hannah Cowett, James Matson, Sarah Matson and Sophie Matson; her great grandchild Samuel Elliott; and her brother William Caldwell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was so devoted to her caregiving work that she didn't actually retire until the age of 92, when the 2020 pandemic made it impossible for her to visit her last remaining client.
