It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Valerie A. Rice of Saunderstown, Rhode Island, born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband William C. Rice; her parents, Alfred J. Souza and Marilyn Souza (Morning); her sister Linda Young; and her son Sean Cranston Rice.
She is survived by : her son Eren Morning Rice; her granddaughter Gianna R. Rice; her siblings, Cheryle Ihrig, Marilyn LaRoche, John Souza, Christopher Souza and Alfred "Bubba" Souza; her brother-in-law Bobby Rice; and her aunt Ellen Mellon. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends.
