She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Lloyd Layer and Ruth Layer (Cleveland); her husband Albert W. Gufler; her son Christopher W. Gufler; and her siblings, Carolyn Abernathy and Jay Layer.
She is survived by: her children, Karen L. Greenleaf (Christopher DeLaRosa) of Westminster, Colorado, Albert L. Gufler (Diane) of Warwick, Barbara Susan Gufler Brown of Harrisville and Martin C. Gufler (Terri) of Swedesboro; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Mary Gufler of Coventry; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Greenleaf, Jason Newton, Stefanie Greenleaf, Bryan Newton, Courtenay Greenleaf Torren, Brooke Brown Mackenzie, Nicole DeMarzo, Aaron Gufler, Paige Couture and Samantha Gufler. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
