It is with sadness that the passing of Denis Malouin of Smithfield, Rhode Island is shared. Denis, born on April 18, 1947, passed away on October 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Malouin and Germaine Laferriere (Depot); his stepfather John E. Laferriere; his daughter Lona Malouin; and his brothers, Robert Malouin (Mary), Paul Malouin (Jane) and Raymond Malouin (Christine).
He is survived by: his wife Nancy A. Malouin (Drolet); his daughter Kelly Leonard of Smithfield; his grandson Colton Leonard of Smithfield; his brothers, Roger Malouin (Margo) of Lincoln and Fernand Malouin of Florida; and his daughter Lorie Malouin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bellows Funeral Chapel (160 River Rd, Lincoln, RI 02865). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Saint James Church (33 Division St, Manville, RI 02838). A burial was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at the St. James Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to UMass Memorial Health Complex Aortic Fund, c/o Dr. Andres Schanzer, Vascular Surgery, 55 Lake Avenue North, S3-834, Worcester, MA 01655 to support a study that Denis was a part of for the past thirteen years allowing him a longer life would be appreciated.
