With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward P. Collins Jr. (Smithfield, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Mary F. Collins (Feeney); his parents, Edward P. Collins, Sr. and Elizabeth M. Collins (McGair); and his siblings, Elizabeth Merrill, H. Marie Gallivan and Leo F. Collins.
He is survived by: his children, Edward P. Collins, III (Allison) of Taunton, MA, Jane Walker of North Providence, Michael Collins (Cheryl) of Rumford, Mary Ray (James) of Rehoboth, MA, Paul Collins (Theresa) of Wilmington, MA and Mark Collins (Jennifer) of Indian Island, SC.; his grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Matthew, Ryan, Davis, Maggie Collins, Jimmy, Jeffrey, Justin Ray and Billy Walker; and his great grandchildren, Caden, Cayley Walker, Emerson, Liam Collins, Callie Ray and Baby Ray.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home (2 Church St, Greenville, RI 02828). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Philip Church (622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to the St. Philip School, 618 Putnam Pike, Smithfield, RI 02828.
