With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James McCarthy (Smithfield, Rhode Island), born in Providence, Rhode Island, who passed away on July 23, 2023 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father James McCarthy. He is survived by : his wife Judith Gemma McCarthy; his children, Brenna and Jaden McCarthy; his mother Beatrice McCarthy (Coppola); his sisters, Karen Musumeci (Thomas) and Maureen Fogarty (Gene); his parents-in-law, Jerry and Joan Gemma; his brother-in-law Bob; his uncle Arthur Coppola; and his dachshund Dustin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lifespan Cancer Institute, Development Office, P.O. Box H, Providence, RI 02901 will be appreciated.
