Paul E. Hynes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Paul E. Hynes (Smithfield, Rhode Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Hynes and Grace Hynes (Crehan); and his siblings, John T. Hynes, Robert Hynes and Jane Dodson.
He is survived by: his sons, Brendan P. Hynes (Jennifer) and Colin R. Hynes (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Madelyn and Sophie Hynes.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael Church (80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917).
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Social Justice Committee of St. Michael's Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917 in Paul's memory would be deeply appreciated.
