It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard N. Olson of Smithfield, Rhode Island, born in Cranston, Rhode Island, who passed away on April 25, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Olson and Anna Olson of Cranston. He is survived by: his wife Donna Olson (Matteo); his son Andrew; his daughter-in-law Solanch Pastrana; his sisters, Kathleen Babigian (Stephen), Diane O'Brien (William), Carol Waterson (Bruce) and Mary-Beth Wolf (Gary); and his adored miniature poodle Gracie. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home (2 Church St, Greenville, RI 02828). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Philip's Church (622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI 02828).
