He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Swain (Waryas); his parents, Chester Swain and Helen Swain (Zwinkles); and his brothers, Chester and Robert Swain.
He is survived by: his sons, David Swain (Susan) and Michael Swain (Donna); and his grandchildren, Matthew, Gregory and Ruby Swain.

A funeral service was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the Highland Memorial Park (1 Rhode Island Ave, Johnston, RI 02919).
