He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Szurley and Gisela Szurley (Woll). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Szurley (Keough); his children, Katherine Randall (Thomas Randall) and Andrew Szurley (Brittany Benedetti); his grandchildren, Riley and Jackson Randall; and his sister Anita Patten.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the O'Neill Funeral Home (3102 Mendon Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Basil the Great Church (15 Skyview Dr, Lincoln, RI 02865). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at the Saint Basil Cemetery (125 Curran Rd, Cumberland, RI 02864).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ziggy by taking a walk in the woods, lending a hand to a neighbor, or finding time to laugh with those you love — just as he would have wanted.
