She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanton Curtis Carpenter and Phoebe Elaine Carpenter (Pitcher); her husband B. Arthur Vanderlaan; and her sisters, Marion C. Gledhill and Sandra L. Roberts.
She is survived by: her children, Carol A. (Brian), Eric (Deb), David (Terri) and Peter (Allison); her grandchildren, David, Daniel (Amy), Christopher, Tyler (Jessica), Bryce, Kali, Sophia, Laura, Haley (Mike) and Molly; her great grandchild Alennia; and her brother-in-law John.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home (88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI 02879). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Perryville Bible Church (220 Moonstone Beach Rd, South Kingstown, RI 02879).
