He was predeceased by: his parents, George Simmons and Edna Simmons (Godfrey); and his brother Steven Simmons (Nancy). He is survived by: his wife Bernice Simmons (DaRosa); his children, Rebecca DeMetrick (Stephen) of Wakefield, Jesse Simmons (Lorraine) of Charlestown and Jacob Simmons (Naoko Hama) of Brooklyn, NY.; his grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Lillie, Charlie DeMetrick, Eva, Ashley, Eiley Simmons, Reiko and Izumi Simmons; and his sisters, Deborah Aldrich (Geoffrey), Martha Miller (Garry), Susan Beauchemin (Michael) and Amy Marseglia (Robert). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Charlestown Land Trust.
