He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph E. Szelag Jr. and Nancy A. Szelag (Furtado). He is survived by: his daughter Heather Fournier (Dillon); his grandchildren, Owen and Parker; his daughter Amy Dowty (JR); his grandchildren, Jaxson and Colton; his brother Joseph Randy Szelag; his former wife Denise Szelag; his niece Alicia Delaney; and his nephews, Mark Mello, Adam Lavoie and Matthew Lavoie.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Auclair Funeral Home (690 S Main St, Fall River, MA 02721). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
