With sadness, we share the passing of Manuel A. P. DeMatos of Tiverton, Rhode Island. Manuel, born on January 30, 1945, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Conceicao (Silvera). He is survived by: his wife Janet E. (Rego) of Matos; his daughter Diane Lusignan (James Lusignan) of Tiverton, RI; his grandchildren, Megan Nappi (Blake Nappi) of Riverside, RI and Benjamin Lusignan (Shana Lusignan) of Middletown, RI; his great grandchildren, Ellery and Emelia Nappi; his siblings, Lenny, Rosa (Linda), Joseph and Maria Medeiros (Arturo Medeiros) of Warren, RI; and his siblings-in-law, Susan, Louis Cirillo of Bristol, RI, Joseph Rego and Charles Rego. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sansone Funeral Home (192 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth's Church (577 Wood St, Bristol, RI 02809).
