Michael R. Hopkins Obituary

We announce the death of Michael R. Hopkins of Tiverton, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 3, 2026, at the age of 44. Michael will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Jayne Dumas. He is survived by: his father Michael E. Hopkins; his stepmother Joanne Hopkins; his stepbrother Craig Olsen; his sister-in-law Vicky Olsen; his niece Zoe Olsen; his nephew Lukas Olsen; and his aunts and uncles, Debra Albro, Beth Ann Bark, Lori Ann Murphy, Theresa Cormier, Michael Cormier and William Murphy. He is also survived by his cousins; and many extended family members and friends.

The family will honor Michael's life privately and asks that those who knew and loved him remember him in their own way—whether by listening to a favorite punk rock album, sharing a story about Michael, or making a donation in his memory to the Huntington's Disease Society of America (HDSA) to support families affected by Huntington's disease.
