He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Nye and Dawn Nye (Pipes). He is survived by: his wife Jacqui Nye (Bilodeau); his daughters, Rebecca and Katharine Nye; his grandson Miguel Nye; and his stepchildren, Vivian and Colin Sutherland.
