With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Henry Clark Matteson of Wakefield, Rhode Island, born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 18, 2022 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Henry Clark Matteson to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry C. Matteson, Sr. and Dorothy E. Matteson; and his stepson John Sweet. He is survived by : his wife Joan A. Matteson (Girouard); his children, Kim Laurent of Charlestown, Wayne Matteson of Westerly and Joseph Matteson; his stepdaughters, Cheryl A. Sweet-Longa of Westerly, Cynthia Marie Shoemate of Maine, Diane Burgess of Westerly and Joan A. Skuce of Wakefield; and his stepgrandchildren, Nathaniel Stacey, Steven Burgess, Nicholas Burgess, Erica Pettengill, Jessica Shoemate and Phillip Longa. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
