We announce the death of John Joseph Haxton of Wakefield, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 93. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas C. Haxton and Elizabeth Haxton (McGuiness); his wife Marilyn Haxton (Mellon); and his siblings, Florence McGreen (Haxton), Thomas Haxton Jr., Robert Haxton and Ronald Haxton.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Monnier (Gary), Timothy Haxton, Jacklyn Dedrick (Jay), Colleen Salvatore (Joseph), John Haxton Jr. and Robert Haxton (Dana); his grandchildren, Justin, Shannon, Marilyn, Christine, Peter, Matthew, Brandon, Megan, John III, Aidan, Drew, Hannah, Moira and Quinn; and his great grandchildren, Reno, Charlie and Greyson.
