With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bernard R. Melancon of Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, who passed away on August 10, 2022 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Gisele Melancon (Corriveau); his parents, Omer Melancon and Marie-Anna Melancon (Beauchemin); his siblings, George Etienne Melanson and Jeanne; and his grandson Matthew T. Melancon.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lorraine Melancon Gallagher (Clancy) and Monique J. Campano (Christopher); his grandchildren, Michael C. Melancon (Becky), Nicole A. Niesen (Daniel), Nicholas A. Campano and Nathan A. Campano; and his great grandchildren, Josephina G. Melancon, Liliana P. Niesen and James D. Niesen.

When we moved into our house in 2006 or so, Bernard would come over with his dogs to watch our progress in building the backyard fence.
