She was predeceased by: her parents, George K. Deware and Susanna Deware (Major); her husband John L. Vargas, Jr.; and her brother George R. Deware. She is survived by: her son Stephen W. Lowery (Alison Lowery) of Narragansett, RI.; her grandchildren, Stephen J. Lowery, MD of Fort Lee, NJ and Brooke E. Degidio of South Kingstown, RI.; and her niece Janice Dunn of Cleveland, TN.. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
