He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles F. Searles and Elizabeth V. Searles (Thompson); and his brother Donald F. Searles (late Margaret). He is survived by: his wife Helen J. Searles (Cole); his children, James M. Searles (Sandra) of Warwick, RI and Kristine M. Searles of Warwick, RI; and his siblings, James A. Searles (Betty) of Warwick, RI, Edwin "Tom" Searles (Donna) of Johnston and Kathleen M. Ouimette (Melvin) of North Kingstown, RI. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home (1328 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02888). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Barrett (1328 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02888). A committal service will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Pawtuxet Memorial Park (100 Harrison Ave, Warwick, RI 02888).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Charles' name to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation (t2t.org/donate) would be appreciated.
