She was predeceased by: her parents, Vasco Alves and Elizabeth "Betty" Dutton; and her close friend Charles Broz. She is survived by: her boyfriend Kenneth A. Weeden Jr.; her children, Daniel Bowers (Susan), Mitch Aaron Broz, Joseph P. A. Weeden, Sophie, Sami Hmiddouche and Hunter R. M. Broz; and her siblings, Joyce R. Alves Koles (late Matthew Koles) and Philip Joseph Alves (Kimberly). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests live plants or donations in Donna's memory to Angels in Action in West Warwick, RI, to continue her mission of helping those in need.
