He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin J. Young Sr. and Vivian Young (Langlois). He is survived by: his wife Marianne Young (Ventre); his children, Edwin J. Young III of Warwick, Christine Nault of Riverside and Stephanie Ryan of Cranston; his grandchildren, Alexander and Madison Nault; his son-in-law Alan Nault; his extended family, Darnell Freeman, Kari Raposo and Anita Halko; and his friends, Danny and Gena Calabro.
