Gilbert Coyne Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gilbert Coyne of Warwick, Rhode Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Paula F. Coyne (Jarvis); and his parents, Robert E. Coyne and Doris Coyne (Peters). He is survived by: his children, Lauren E. Coyne (Nicholas Browning) of Middletown, Christopher G. Coyne (Vanessa) of Warwick and Meaghan L. Coyne-Ruggieri (Michael) of Warwick; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Bowen, Jameson and Caiden; and his siblings, Elizabeth Murray of Narragansett, Patricia M. Verducci (David) of Coventry, Robert E. Coyne Jr. (Jane) of Florida and Mary Lou Cline of Providence.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Iannotti Funeral Home (2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd, Coventry, RI 02816). A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 18th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of Gil's favorite non-profits, the Coventry Little League, who will be establishing a scholarship in his honor.
