He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John R. Butler and Julia Butler (Murphy); his wife Donna (Leach); his daughter Jennifer Butler Basile (Michael) of Charlestown; his granddaughters, Isabella, Julia, Angela and Cecelia Basile; his sisters, Barbara Butler Schmidt of Catonsville and Janet Crook of Mystic, Connecticut; and his siblings' children, Kevin Schmidt of Maryland, Julie Margiotta of St. Louis, Missouri and Dana Crook of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania..
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Home (2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02889). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Kevin Church (333 Sandy Ln, Warwick, RI 02889).
