John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Mary McKenna (Tracy). He is survived by: his significant other Miriam Weinstein of Warwick; his children, Sarah Argueta-McKenna (Edgard) and Jonathan McKenna of Rumford; the mother of his children Anita Porter; his siblings, Mary "Auntie Bunny" McKenna and William "Bill" McKenna (Margaret) of Johnston; and his granddaughter Cecilia "Cecie" Argueta-McKenna. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Jack would be honored by contributions made to the Culinary Hub of Providence (CHOP), where students from the Genesis Center's culinary training program gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting or to Community MusicWorks, Providence, a community-based organization that uses music education and performance as a vehicle to build lasting and meaningful relationships between children, families, and professional musicians.
