He was predeceased by: his parents, Brendan Murphy and Mary Murphy (Lally). He is survived by: his wife Jane Murphy (Fox); his sisters, Ann (Reed) and Jean (DeLeon); his children, Matthew Murphy (Jessica Glatzer) of Providence, Benjamin Murphy (Rebecca Lucca) of Warwick and Abby Libbey (Derek) of Cranston; and his grandchildren, Lucas, Julia, Ada, Gavin, Maeve and John.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Barrett & Cotter Funeral Home (1328 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02888).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nature Conservancy.
