He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond E. and Mary R. Thornton (Trudell); and his daughter Melissa Cardoza. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth; his children, Jason Thornton, Daniel Thornton (Jackie) and Jonie Thornton (Tyler Leonard); his stepchildren, Heather Sylvester and Todd Sylvester (Michelle); his siblings, Michael Thornton, Jeanne Browning (John), Susan Palmer, Christine Thornton, Lisa Thornton and Colleen Harvey (John); his grandchildren, Jason, Lauren, Roman, Brianna, Treyton Kyli (Brianna Shook), Sawyer, Sophie and Penelope; his great grandchildren, Oliver and Wrigley; and his son-in-law Brian Cardoza.
