She was predeceased by: her husband Roger A. Handy; and her parents, Lafayette A. Hays and Prudence E. Hays (Grinnell). She is survived by: her children, Peggy J. Beauchene (late Del Beauchene) of Warwick, Linda J. Williams (Kevin Conley) of North Kingstown, Cynthia L. Johnson (Dave) of Coventry and Steven P. Handy (Monica) of North Kingstown; her grandchildren, Chad, Haley, Kristin, Hannah, Carly, Christopher, Adam, Curt, Olivia, Isabelle and Eleanor; and her brother Russell Hays (Nancy) of South Kingstown.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas and Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel (2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick, RI 02889). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Brentwood Nursing Home, Activities Department 4000 Post Road Warwick, RI.
