She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Monroe and Marlene Monroe (Brown); her grandparents, Ethel Babcock Wilcox, Ellison Tarzan Brown, Joseph "Nanana" Monroe and Madeline Johnson Monroe; and her brothers, Mitch Monroe and Joe Monroe III.
She is survived by: her children, Jay Thunder Monroe (Domonique), Chris Monroe and Jaron Monroe; her grandchildren, Tarius, Bayou, Marilyn, Sakari and Jay Thunder, Jr.; and her brother Mike (Jeff Monroe). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home (88 Columbia St, Wakefield, RI 02879). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
