She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Degree and Carl Lockard; and her siblings, Leatha Lockard, William McCoy and Willa-Mae Eskridge.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Amado of Palm Coast, FL, Barbara Costa of New Bedford, MA., Susan Oakes, Phillis Roma and Walter Oakes Jr. of Warwick, RI.; and her grandchildren, Richard Roma, Olivia Grant, Vanessa Oakes, Veronica Oakes, Steven Oakes and Lisha Oakes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
