She was predeceased by: her husband William M. Bourassa; her parents, John Ribeiro and Maria N. Ribeiro (Mello); her daughter Dianne L. Steinmetz; and her siblings, John Ribeiro, Diamantina Fuyat and Laura Graff.
She is survived by: her daughter Janet M. Carlson (David) of Richmond; her siblings, Louise Hallowell of Lansdale, PA and James Ribeiro of Anaheim, CA; her granddaughters, April Jung, Katheryn Schenold and Kristen Pomeroy; and her sister-in-law Doris McConnell. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
