He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Moore and Wilma Noray (Williams); and his sibling Aubrey Williams. He is survived by: his son Marcus Gardner, Sr. (Anny Hernandez); his grandchildren, Marcus Gardner, Jr. and Kendrix Gardner; his siblings, Rosetta E. Williams, Neil A. Freitus and Lynette C. Freitus; and his aunts, Maureen and Donna Moore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
