It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul D. Schoonmaker of Warwick, Rhode Island, born in Melrose, Massachusetts, who passed away on May 23, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Schoonmaker and Marion Schoonmaker (Jepson). He is survived by: his wife Joan E. Schoonmaker (Phillips); his children, Peter M. Schoonmaker of Woonsocket, David P. Schoonmaker (Vilma) of Warwick, Stephen J. Schoonmaker (Sharon) of Chambersburg, PA, James T. Schoonmaker (Karen) of Arlington, MA, Elizabeth J. Almquist and Christopher of Lewiston, ME; his sisters, Barbara Woodford of Laurel, MD and Janet Simmon of Laconia, NH; his grandchildren, Christopher Schoonmaker, Katelyn Turnbull, Helen Schoonmaker, Sara Schoonmaker, Christina Schoonmaker, Michael Schoonmaker, Dr. Jennifer Schoonmaker, Melissa Schmeck, Laura Schoonmaker, Anne Schoonmaker, Emily Schoonmaker, Kyle Almquist, Jason Almquist and Scott Almquist; and his great grandchildren, Micah, Luke Schoonmaker and Kieran Read.
