He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pinto and Julia Pinto (Barber); his grandson Matt; and his siblings, George Pinto, Sonny Pinto and Audrey Bergen.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean A. Pinto (Lackey); his children, Donna Dualan, Kevin Pinto, Kathy Pellegrino (David) and Richard Pinto Jr. (Cheryl); his stepchildren, Kahla Tarbox (Nick), Michael Elias (Monica) and Jennifer Bertoluzzi (Kyle); his grandchildren, Tonya Pinto, David Dualan, Austin Pinto, Ryan Pinto, Karissa Wolowicz, David Pellegrino and Dan Dualan; and his sister Charlotte Slivinski. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
