He was predeceased by: his parents, Erasmus Garafano and Antonetta Garafano (Timpani). He is survived by: his daughter Christine Zapata (Alejandro); his grandchildren, Nathan, Matthew and Liliana Zapata; his siblings, Raymond Garafano and Carmella Read; and his close friend Patricia Antonelli.
