He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester R. Houghtaling and Millicent Houghtaling (Papps); and his grandson Dwight Arts Furey. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy A. Houghtaling; his children, Robert L. Houghtaling (Elaine Arts) of Warwick and Elaine M. Cate (late Peter) of Warwick; his grandchildren, Christopher Cate (Kathryn), Matthew Cate (Caroline), Nicole Anselmo (Kevin), Nicholas Cate, Sarah Green (Robert) and Alexander Houghtaling; and his great grandchildren, Luca Anselmo, Xavier Anselmo and Lunafreya Green.
