Sondra B. Comen Obituary

We announce the death of Sondra B. Comen of Warwick, Rhode Island, who passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 90. Sondra will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her spouses, Hyman "Hy" Comen and Howard Bass; her parents, Irving Priest and Lillian Priest (Lankowitz); and her siblings, Iris Finkelstein and William Priest.

She is survived by: her children, Steven Bass of Pawtucket and Karen Bass of Bellevue, Washington; her grandchildren, Cooper and Marisol Valenzuela; and her stepson James Comen. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
