“So sorry to hear of my old friend and close buddy Newt's passing. "Newt" and I were inseparable from the mid to late '60's until I went in the Army in 1969. We shared or maybe endured is the more correct word more experiences of a lifetime in those 5 short years. We hung out when I got home in '71 but I was soon married and our closeness waned as our lives changed. The lesson: ALWAYS keep good friends close because there are some things you can never get back. So sorry, Ellie, he was a good man.”
