He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bernard and Irene Bernard (Blanchet); and his daughter Brenda Olenkiewicz. He is survived by: his wife Florence E. Bernard (Vivier); his children, Jackie Trottier (Greg), William Bernard Jr., Janine Carlson (Edward), Carolyn Davenport (Mark) and Dennis Bernard; and his siblings, Jeanne Strong, Phyllis McGinnis and Mikki Scully. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
