He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Potter and Florence Potter (Peters); and his brother John "Jack" Potter. He is survived by: his wife Paula A. Potter (Kelly); his children, Kelly A. Stewart (Brent) and William R. Potter Jr. (Melissa); his grandchildren, William R. Potter III, Nathan Stewart, Erin Stewart, Kylie Joy Potter and Lyndsay Rose Potter; and his sister Audrey Wozniak.
