She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Nathanson; her parents, Frederick Richmond and Adelaide Richmond (Bennett); and her siblings, F. Robert Richmond, Donna Hallene and William Richmond.
She is survived by: her family, J. George Nathanson (Julie), Caroline Mack Sparhawk (Dana) and Mindelle Balkun (Edward); her foster son Leo McEvoy; her grandchildren, Jessica Balkun Begley, Tara Nathanson, Laura Austin, Joshua Nathanson, Charlotte Mack Heller, Jakob Mack, Steven Sparhawk, Irena Sparhawk, Collin Sparhawk and Kyle McEvoy; and her sisters, Caroline Crouch and Deborah Hartley. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
The family asks that, in place of flowers, donations be directed to Loaves and Fishes Rhode Island, a cause close to her heart.
