It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jerome Brown Sr. (West Warwick, Rhode Island), who passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Brown and Bertha Brown (Nesmith); and his siblings, Henry Lee Brown and Jane Lee Richard. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Brown (Petrasek); his children, Jerome Brown, Jr. of New Haven, CT, Tyrell Brown of New Haven, CT, Taylor Brown of Port Hawkesbury and Jaylon Brown of New Haven, CT; and his siblings, Levern Brown (Elaine) of New Haven, CT, Willie Ed Brown of Grimesland, NC, James Edward Brown (Denise) of New Haven, CT, Reverend Romie Brown of Stone Mountain, GA and Bertha Gillard Herring (Roscoe) of New Haven, CT. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 11th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church (455 Washington St, Coventry, RI 02816).
