It is with sadness that the passing of John M. Thorp Sr. (West Warwick, Rhode Island) is shared. John, born on April 4, 1939, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Lillian T. Thorp (Ray); his parents, Harold Thorp and Margaret Thorp (Phillips); and his brother Henry Thorp. He is survived by: his children, Margaret L. Thorp of Richmond, CA, John M. "JJ" Thorp Jr. (Kerry Radcliffe) of Richmond, CA and Lori Hallam of Apache Junction, AZ.; his granddaughters, Mia Radcliffe Thorp and Zoe Radcliffe Thorp; and his brother Phil Thorp (Heather) of Maine.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home (659 E Greenwich Ave, West Warwick, RI 02893). A prayer will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
