He was predeceased by: his wife Maureen E. Young-McGarry; his parents, Thomas McGarry and Eleanor McGarry (Conlon); and his siblings, Brian McGarry, Kim McGarry-Volpe, Eleanor McGarry and Maragret Wennberg.
He is survived by: his daughter Dawn Patricia McGarry-Lima; his granddaughter Anya Grace Lima of Coventry; his sisters, Marylou Holland of Providence and Sheila McGarry of Texas; and his nieces and nephews, Jami Volpe-Coletta, Jonathan, Jason Rodriguez, Caty, Brandon Colon and Robert Holland, Jr..
